A Midsummer Night’s Dream, College of St. Elizabeth -- Spring 2010

This collegiate production was Greek-influenced with columns and toga-style dress, but with a contemporary palette and flair.  My two-hour cut created additional fairy roles to accommodate more students.  Our 27-person cast included 5 males from nearby universities.  All of the mechanicals were played cross-gendered by women, who were signified as male characters by applied facial hair (with the exception of Flute, of course!). Original music for Titania’s Lullaby provided by CSE’s Prof. Pamela Stein and incidental music was provided by CSE’s Dr. Butz.
